“Flyan” Ryan Farrell Has Big 2008/09 Planned
With the 07/08 season now done & dusted Ryan Farrell has set a race program for the new season that kicks off in the USA mid July.
July 8th will be the date Ryan Farrell sets off to the USA for a series of races at Knoxville Raceway including the Knoxville Nationals where in his first appearance there last year he came away with a victory in one of the minor consolation races. Other events Ryan will be contesting will be 2 to 3 Knoxville Club shows as well as a return to Oskaloosa for the front row challenge where in 2007 he started of the back row and came home in the top 3.
Ryan would like to tank a few people for making this up coming trip happen including his car owner & father John Farrell as well as peter Morris from Maxwill engines, Ryan Farrell will again be using Australian horsepower to power his USA Maxims. Mike Long from Maxim Racing will again be helping the Farrell team on their conquest of the USA and Ryan will be again driving for Scott Richhart from Iowa. The USA is something Ryan has really been looking forward to and with a years experience under his belt he is ready for action.
Ryan’s 2008/09 Australian Speedway program will consist of some of Australia’s finest rides, his Western Australian campaign will again be behind the wheel of the Bunbury Auto group/VDM/Cowara Contractors #95 Maxim Backed by John Farrell & Steve Duggan of Cowara Contractors, Ryan will contest up to 25 local rounds including the Australian Sprintcar Title, Western Australian title where he will be aiming for 6 titles & his favorite event the 2009 Krikke Boys Shootout.
On Ryan’s return from the USA he & the team will head off to the Chariots of thunder series in the NT at Darwin Speedway, Ryan will miss the first nights racing but will be there with the new cars & colour scheme for the prestigious series.
On the east coast in 08/09 Ryan will team up for the first time with car owner Steve Caunt of Fire Plus Services in Wollongong NSW. Ryan will drive the ACT#9 Maxim at events such as the $50,000 to win @ Parramatta Raceway, the rerun of the Australian Sprintcar Title where Ryan currently sits inside the A main, World Series Sprintcar rounds in NSW & the New South Wales state Sprintcar title. There may be extra events on the Sydney schedule but that will be revealed as the season gets closer.
Farrell Motorsport would like to thank Steve Caunt of Fire Services Plus for the opportunity to team up in 2008/09, Ryan commented “Teaming up with Steve Caunt will be great, Steve runs a very slick operation and his equipment is absolutely awesome with everything always top notch, I am sure Steve & I can be competitive in a few races over there this is why we decided to do this deal”
The final part of the puzzle will be Ryan again competing in the Victory Race gear car for Matt Eastham. They will compete in all the events across the lower part of Australia concentrating on South Australia & Victoria in events such as World Series Sprintcars, The Easter Trail, Warnambool Classic, and Presidents Cup & Kings Challenge.
“Matt & I have been racing together for a few years now, it is a good deal, Matt & I get along great and he like Steve always puts great gear on the track, we did good at the classic last year & with an upgrade of some equipment in his team during the off season I am sure we will be on the pace straight away”
As well as the busy schedule ahead in 2008/09 Farrell Motorsport would like to announce the return of Brand Passmore to the team, Brand has been apart of the Farrell team for sometime but had a year off to concentrate on business in his home town of Busselton WA, Brand has a very successful automotive specialist service centre & having a year away to concentrate on business has given Brand the urge to return to prepare the W95 car in Western Australia.
The W95 car will display a new colour scheme in 08/09 something that is being worked on by the team & BCM Motorsports Marketing currently and will debut in Darwin at the Chariot series later in the year.
Plans like this for the new season do not just happen; there is a lot of work behind the scenes with people like Steve Duggan, John Farrell, Brand Passmore & the entire Farrell Motorsport team, like long term sponsors Russell Hall from the Bunbury Autogroup.
Farrell Motorsport is looking for a big season and the USA is just the start of it.
